Greetings. Welcome to my website. I am a political scientist and visiting assistant professor at Sewanee: The University of the South. I study mostly American politics, with a focus on comparative state institutions and behavior. I have a particular interest in how institutional variation across state legislatures shapes legislative collaboration. Additionally, I do work on subnational economic voting as well as the influence of local factors on economic evaluations and perceptions. To learn more about my research and to access replication materials please check out my Research page.
In addition to political science I enjoy playing soccer, supporting Arsenal F.C., riding my bike, reading science fiction/fantasy and heaping affection on my two dogs and two cats.
